About the event

The Power of Nurturing Touch

~ A Basic Technique of Infant Massage ~

A CPD Workshop for Infant Educarers

Nurturing touch refers to gentle, tactile stimulation and loving verbal communication to deepen the relationship between caring adults and their babies. It is a shared experience, done with the baby not to the baby. Nurturing touch, which is used in infant massage, is not only a powerful but also an essential tool for caring adults to support, communicate, love and understand the babies they care for.

Touch stimulates growth and enhances neurological development. Being touched and caressed, being massaged, is food for the infant, food is necessary for the infant as minerals, vitamins and proteins.

This course helps participants to gain a better understanding on how nurturing touch can help the total well-being of infants and to deepen the infant-adult relationship.
